Allen Cox was raised on Vancouver Island.  He was employed in British Columbia’s mining industry before returning to the BC Institute of Technology to continue his studies.  Graduating in 1992, he returned to the Cowichan Valley to begin his career with the firm.  Allen was commissioned as a BC Land Surveyor in 2000.

His specialties include Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) observations and reductions, industrial surveys, construction layout and strata development.

Allen has an extensive list of remote survey projects, ranging from the Alaskan border and the Skeena River to the West Coast of Vancouver Island.  These include the resurvey of a large tract of land for development by the Ditidaht First Nation at Nitinat Lake and new Treaty Settlement Surveys in Sooke and Toquaht Bay.  Locally, Allen has been involved with a large waterfront development on the shores of Cowichan Lake and a mall on Drinkwater Road.  He is an active committee member with the Association of BC Land Surveyors.

Allen is married with two children.  He enjoys hunting, riding the scenic routes of Vancouver Island on his motorcycle and beer making.
