Ed Wilson was born and raised in Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island.  After graduating from the BC Institute of Technology in 1979, he worked in land surveying and British Columbia’s forest industry.  He returned to school in 1985 and graduated from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Engineering in 1989.  He was commissioned as a BC Land Surveyor in 1991 and began his career with the firm in 1993.  Ed obtained his commission as a Canada Lands Surveyor in 2002.

His specialties include the development process, land title research, strata development and survey and measurement theory.

Ed has performed numerous surveys locally for all types of development, construction, forestry and First Nations as well as specialty surveys such as the Kinsol Trestle.  He has also applied his skills to larger projects such as the Vancouver Island Gas Pipeline and Trans-Canada Highway improvements.  He is a past committee member for the Association of BC Land Surveyors.

Ed is married with two children.  He enjoys road cycling, classical music and hiking the picturesque locales of the Cowichan Valley.
