ROBIN W. KENYON
BCLS, CLS
Robin Kenyon was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley. After graduating from the BC Institute of Technology in 1980, he worked in British Columbia’s mining and pulp manufacturing industries, then gained a position with a Duncan-based land surveying firm. Upon obtaining his commission as a BC Land Surveyor in 1988, he purchased that practice and formed a partnership with another local land surveyor, Michael Hanson.
Robin obtained his commission as a Canada Lands Surveyor in 1993 and a certificate in Site Planning from UBC in 1999. His specialties include the development process (including First Nations and federal lands) and site planning.
He has extensive experience in retracement of “lost Reserves” and Blocks for timber companies along the BC Coast. Locally, Robin has been involved in innumerable local developments of all sizes. Recently, he completed a Toquaht Nation Treaty Settlement Land Survey of the islands in Barclay Sound and parcels adjacent Pipestem Inlet.
Robin is married with four grown sons. He enjoys mountain biking, kayaking and trail building as part of the Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society. He is a Past Chair of the Board of Governors of Vancouver Island University and a former Board Member of the BC Ferries Authority and Island Health.
